Eliza
Eliza
Rose Mandel, the younger of the two Mandel girls, was born on
September 22nd, 1990.
Industrious, warm, and alternately shy and wild, Eliza loves ice
cream with sprinkles, her big sister, sushi, guys with beards, and
conducting blind taste tests. So far, we've tested various
colors/flavors of Froot Loops, brands of chocolate cake rolls
(Yodels, HoHos, and Little Debbie Swiss Cake Rolls), and chocolate bars.

Look at that smile! LOOK AT THAT
SMILE! I tell you, is that a smile, or what?

Eliza,
circa 2005. Oh. My. God. |

Alan recently completed an extensive and
revealing photo essay in which he details Eliza's reactions
to receiving birthday cards and presents. It's big news!
In addition to her remarkable drawings (a talent she shares with Hannah)
and her warm, genuinely sparkling laughter, Eliza is well-known for
her malaprops, spoonerisms, and general
unwitting wit.
She has also written a stunning and heart-tugging biography of
Abraham Lincoln, now posted for your edification right here.
Current Reading Recommendation:
The
City of Ember by Jeanne Duprau, its sequel The
People of Sparks (also by Jeanne Duprau), and Inkhart by
Cornelia Funke.
She loves to get email. Write to her care of her parents.

Hannah and Eliza share a warm
moment. They have a lot of these. Seriously. It's almost weird. |
